Position Overview:

We invite you to become a part of our team as a Manufacturing Systems Engineer. In this pivotal role, you will be instrumental in refining manufacturing workflows and maximizing operational efficiency within our production environment. Your primary focus will be on the development and enhancement of processes aimed at boosting productivity, ensuring quality, and achieving cost savings.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the optimization of manufacturing processes to ensure cost-effectiveness and reliability.
  • Define and implement procedures for manufacturing operations on both new and existing products, adhering to manufacturing standards.
  • Ensure that equipment, fixtures, and processes comply with customer quality and safety standards while maintaining ergonomic considerations.
  • Design and develop fixtures, lead initiatives related to manufacturing equipment, and facilitate the achievement of production objectives and quality benchmarks.
  • Supervise maintenance and technical personnel, fostering a collaborative environment.
  • Engage with various functional department managers to provide technical insights regarding equipment and processes.

Essential Duties:

  • Mentor and manage maintenance staff, establishing performance metrics and identifying training needs.
  • Evaluate and justify capital equipment investments, overseeing the implementation of related projects.
  • Identify and resolve challenges related to safety, quality, productivity, and cost efficiency.
  • Coordinate with contractors to ensure compliance with safety regulations and building codes.
  • Analyze the cost and reliability of manufacturing equipment and processes.
  • Establish and manage preventive maintenance checks to ensure optimal equipment performance.
  • Demonstrate project management capabilities in equipment acquisition and process improvements.
  • Design detailed drawings and specifications for new and existing manufacturing equipment.
  • Conduct hands-on troubleshooting of manufacturing equipment and processes.
  • Maintain organized documentation and provide regular updates on project statuses.
  • Stay informed on advancements in manufacturing technology to drive continuous improvement.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
  • 2-5 years of experience in manufacturing engineering.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and proficiency with measuring tools.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles and methodologies.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and CAD software.
  • Knowledge of PLCs, automation, or robotics is advantageous.
