Job Summary

Greenwich Public Schools is seeking a skilled and empathetic Preschool Professional Assistant to provide support to students in small groups and one-to-one settings. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, be able to work collaboratively with teachers and staff, and demonstrate a commitment to ensuring the academic and social success of all students.

Responsibilities:
  • Effectively implement instructional plans and provide feedback on student performance.
  • Participate in team planning activities and maintain confidentiality of students and families.
  • Assist with the physical needs of students, including lifting and toileting, using mechanical lift equipment and transfer aids as needed.
Qualifications:
  • Demonstrate knowledge of proper body mechanics and ability to multi-task in a fast-paced public setting.
  • Communicate effectively with staff, students, and parents and possess physical ability to perform job functions.
  • Ability to use good judgment and assist colleagues in a positive manner.

The estimated annual salary for this position is $55,000, reflecting the demands of the role and the requirements of working in a public school setting.
