Job Title: Renewable Energy Project Manager

Estimated Salary: $85,000 - $110,000 per year

Ameresco is seeking an experienced Renewable Energy Project Manager to join our team in Phoenix. As a key member of our project development team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing energy efficiency and distributed energy projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead behind-the-meter solar PV, battery storage, and EV charger projects from early stage through construction
  • Evaluate layout options based on customer site information and as-built drawings
  • Perform energy modeling and utility cost analysis
  • Visit customer sites to investigate project feasibility and interconnection methods
  • Coordinate onsite engineering and investigative activities with the utility, outside engineering, surveying, and vendors
  • Make equipment selections based on project needs, material availability, and costs
  • Generate project budgets and schedules in conjunction with Pre-Construction
  • Provide technical support to Pre-Construction in the request for bids
  • Support Sales on the communication of proposed solutions to customers
  • Manage project development schedules and coordinate with outside engineering and vendors on engineering tasks
  • Consolidate and review project deliverables and technical documents generated by outside engineering and vendors
  • Handle utility interconnections submittals and serve as point of contact with the utility
  • Organize jurisdiction submittals and responses through approvals
  • Support Project Management team on material procurement and technical support during construction
  • Manage technical components of the commissioning and closeout following completion of construction

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, civil engineering, construction engineering, or related discipline
  • 3 or more years of past experience in a relevant industry such commercial, residential, or utility scale solar, EV charging infrastructure, or similar

Additional Qualifications:

  • Demonstrate ability to interact and work with host customers, equipment vendors, engineers, and utilities
  • Display excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Comfortable presenting to management, leadership, and project stakeholders
  • Travel up to 25% of the time
  • Familiarity with PC software applications Microsoft Office, PVSyst, Energy Toolbase, Procore and Helioscope
