h3Job Description/h3pThe Jefferson Hotel Richmond is seeking a Part Time PBX Operator to support our front desk operations during the holiday season. The ideal candidate will be able to work any day of the week, including weekends and holidays, and be available for both morning and afternoon shifts./ppThe PBX Operator is responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our telephone communication system, providing excellent customer service to guests and hotel staff, and maintaining a professional demeanor at all times./ppbKey Responsibilities:/b/pullibAnswering Calls:/b Answering telephone calls in a professional and courteous manner, providing clear and concise information to guests and hotel staff./lilibCall Handling:/b Handling all incoming and outgoing calls at the front desk, including transferring calls to the appropriate department or guest room./lilibExtension Numbers:/b Maintaining a record of all department extension numbers and department head phone numbers./lilibGuest Service:/b Providing accurate and helpful information to guests about hotel services and amenities./lilibRelationship Building:/b Building and maintaining positive relationships with other hotel departments, including housekeeping, laundry, room service, engineering, sales, marketing, accounting, and security./lilibMessage Taking:/b Taking messages for guests and delivering them to the appropriate staff member./lilibCall Answering:/b Answering calls within 3 rings./lilibComplaint Handling:/b Listening to guest complaints and resolving issues in a professional and courteous manner./lilibRecord Keeping:/b Maintaining accurate records of guest complaints and ensuring that guests receive assistance from the front desk manager./lilibProblem Solving:/b Referencing big administrative or operational problems to the supervisor or department head./lilibHotel Terminology:/b Familiarizing yourself with hotel terminology and glossaries./lilibEquipment Handling:/b Handling all telephone equipment and maintaining proper telephone handling procedures set by the hotel authority./lilibCall Switching:/b Switching calls to the appropriate department./li
