Position Overview

This pivotal role is a response to the bank's significant growth and will be instrumental in developing the risk management framework for this specific line of business.

As the SVP, Risk Management Leader for Retail Banking & Treasury Services, your primary responsibility will be to enhance the risk framework within this dynamic banking environment. This role demands a strategic leader capable of working across various departments to establish operational risk policies and ensure compliance with industry best practices.

  • Oversee the creation and execution of operational risk policies and procedures for the Retail Banking & Treasury Services division.
  • Partner with the Risk Management team to evaluate and monitor risk practices within the division.
  • Deliver regular updates and enhancements regarding risk practices, reports, policies, and procedures to the Risk Management team.
  • Ensure accurate reporting of risk incidents and remediation timelines through a centralized incident tracking system.
  • Collaborate with the Risk Management team to formulate strategies for mitigating operational risk gaps identified through the bank's Risk and Controls Self-Assessment Process.
  • Lead initiatives through the New Initiatives Committee process and chair division-specific Risk Committees.
  • Engage in the enterprise-wide Management Risk Committee.

Ideal candidates will possess a minimum of 5-7 years of experience in Risk Management or auditing, with a strong background in supporting the first line of defense. A deep understanding of developing and monitoring Risk and Controls Self-Assessment processes is crucial for this role. The successful candidate will be a collaborative problem-solver, adept at partnering with business leaders and senior management.
