Position Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated Program Manager to oversee and enhance our energy initiatives. This role is pivotal in driving projects that align with our commitment to sustainability and energy efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
- Formulate an energy equity strategy with defined goals and metrics to monitor progress.
- Assist in the coordination of meetings for the Executive Climate Change Coordinating Council and its advisory boards to ensure alignment with climate targets.
- Collaborate with staff to refine programs and policies that enhance access to clean energy solutions.
- Support various state programs aimed at improving energy affordability for residents.
- Engage with community solar and energy efficiency programs to foster workforce development.
- Work alongside department leadership to strategize outreach efforts to stakeholders.
- Lead the implementation of community benefit plans approved by the department.
- Coordinate public meetings focused on energy and environmental issues.
- Collaborate with justice and equity program managers across different agencies.
- Manage partnerships with housing authorities on energy programs.
- Implement best practices for public engagement across departmental initiatives.
- Assist in the development of educational materials for diverse audiences.
- Support grant writing efforts for funding opportunities.
- Facilitate internal training sessions on energy and environmental justice.
- Research and propose best practices from other regions for state initiatives.
Qualifications:
- A Bachelor's Degree is required.
- 1-2 years of professional experience, particularly in energy-related fields.
- Proficiency in renewable energy technologies and data management.
- Experience in program and contract management, including budget tracking and deliverable oversight.
- Strong organizational and communication skills, both written and verbal.
- A collaborative mindset with the ability to work independently.
