Job Title: Medical Office Coordinator

Estimated Salary: $45,000 - $60,000 per year

We are seeking a highly organized and friendly Patient Services Coordinator to join our medical team at Foot and Ankle Associates. As the first point of contact for patients, you will play a vital role in providing excellent customer service and ensuring the smooth operations of our office.

**Key Responsibilities:**

  • Greet and check in patients as they arrive at the office.
  • Answer phone calls, schedule appointments, and manage patient inquiries.
  • Verify and update patient information in the electronic medical record system.
  • Collect patient demographics, insurance details, and patient financial responsibility.
  • Verify insurance benefits, including contacting insurance companies for copays and deductibles.
  • Calculate and collect patient copays and deductibles due, including overdue balances.
  • Assist patients with forms, medical records, and other documentation as needed.
  • Coordinate with medical staff to ensure efficient patient flow.
  • Handle patient complaints and concerns in a professional manner.
  • Maintain a clean and welcoming reception area.
  • Perform general office duties, such as filing, faxing, and mailing.

**Qualifications:**

  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Previous experience in a medical office setting is required.
  • Basic knowledge of ICD-10 and CPT coding is necessary.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential.
  • Proficiency with office software, including EHR and Microsoft Office, is required.
  • The ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information is crucial.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills are necessary.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team is required.
