Position Summary:

The Production Supervisor will leverage leadership, coaching, and organizational expertise to enhance safety, quality, productivity, delivery, and cost-effectiveness within our dynamic manufacturing environment. This role is pivotal in sustaining the company's existing strengths while strategically advancing towards future goals. The Production Supervisor will foster a positive workplace culture through effective problem-solving, continuous improvement initiatives, and meticulous management of shop floor operations.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Inspire and lead teams across various departments, including Material Processing, Welding, and Painting.
  • Enhance core shop floor performance metrics related to safety, quality, productivity, delivery, and cost.
  • Oversee productivity levels at employee, machine, and departmental scales.
  • Champion continuous improvement practices in manufacturing processes.
  • Collaborate with the Manufacturing Manager to plan, develop, and optimize factory layouts.
  • Work closely with Safety leaders to enhance safety protocols and promote a culture of safety.
  • Coordinate with Production Coordinators to ensure timely initiation and completion of orders.
  • Play a crucial role in the selection, training, assignment, scheduling, and leadership of shop personnel.
  • Support initiatives to rectify inventory discrepancies.
  • Perform additional duties as necessary.

Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in manufacturing, assembly, or related industrial fields, preferably in welding or fabrication.
  • Proficient in ERP systems (SAP) and MS Office Suite (Excel, Word).
  • Strong commitment to work schedules and employee attendance.
  • Exceptional coaching and leadership capabilities.
  • Proven conflict mediation skills.
  • Ability to motivate individuals towards achieving team objectives.
  • Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills.
  • Willingness to learn all aspects of a complex manufacturing and assembly environment.
  • High standards for driving results through relationship and culture building.
  • Dependable with a keen attention to detail and the ability to follow and interpret procedures.
  • Adept at multitasking and meeting project deadlines.
  • Proficient in proactive communication with multiple stakeholders on various projects.
  • Experience with shop floor safety protocols.
  • Strong project management skills.
  • Ability to develop and implement Root Cause Corrective Actions.
  • Experience working within a comprehensive Quality Management System.
