POSITION SUMMARY:
Reporting directly to the VP of Manufacturing Operations, the Manufacturing Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing safe, efficient, and cost-effective plant operations, ensuring that corporate objectives are met while maintaining high standards of product quality and timely delivery. This role involves providing leadership and direction to all plant personnel, including maintenance, production, process management, warehousing, shipping, quality assurance, and inventory management. Collaboration with engineering and order processing teams across CPM Americas locations is essential.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory standards and maintain a robust Safety Program.
- Develop and implement plant objectives, priorities, and operational targets, ensuring alignment with company goals.
- Continuously assess and enhance plant operations, focusing on environmental health and safety (EHS), quality, productivity, and profitability.
- Foster a company culture that values integrity, teamwork, customer focus, innovation, accountability, and respect.
- Establish effective communication strategies with sales management and other departments to keep all staff informed of key initiatives.
- Participate in the recruitment and onboarding of new employees to promote a positive workplace culture and reduce turnover.
- Oversee various functions through site leaders, including production, engineering, maintenance, warehousing, process control, quality assurance, purchasing, inventory management, labor relations, and continuous improvement initiatives.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- A minimum of 10 years of experience in planning and production management within a related industry.
- Extensive knowledge of metal machining processes, including machine programming and heat treatment.
- A Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a technical field.
- Completion of relevant manufacturing management training programs is advantageous.
