We are seeking a highly skilled Continuous Improvement Agent to join our team at Ponca City Development Authority. As a key member of our production team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the continuity of our production process and maximizing profitability and productivity through process optimization.
Key Responsibilities- Project Participation: Collaborate with the production team to prepare and implement projects that drive process improvements and efficiency gains.
- Opportunity Identification: Identify areas for improvement and develop recommendations to enhance operational efficiency.
- Process Implementation: Support supervisors in implementing new work methods and training new employees to ensure seamless adoption.
- Optimization Workshops: Participate in workshops to share best practices and promote a culture of continuous improvement.
- Audit and Documentation: Conduct regular audits and document field observations to identify areas for improvement.
- Training and Development: Provide training and mentorship to staff on Lean principles, methods, and applications.
- Resource Optimization: Coordinate plant-level Lean initiatives to ensure optimal resource utilization and minimize waste.
- Process Standardization: Conduct time and motion studies and utilize value stream mapping and process charting to establish and validate production standards.
- Experience: 6-9 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, with 2-3 years of experience in Lean Manufacturing.
- Skills: Strong problem-solving skills, self-directed, organized, and detail-oriented, with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, and strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Education: Familiarity with manufacturing standards and process concepts, and proficiency in Microsoft Applications.
- Physical Activity: 50% of time spent walking the floor, up to six hours per day, with regular standing, squatting, stooping, bending, and reaching throughout the day.
- Physical Requirements: Good hand-eye coordination and ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with occasional twisting and lifting up to 20-30 lbs.
