Position Overview: The Vice President of Production is a critical leadership role responsible for overseeing product operations and manufacturing processes at Good American. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in apparel production and a profound understanding of the fashion landscape. This position calls for a strategic leader capable of managing operational workflows, guiding a team of production experts, and ensuring the efficient and timely delivery of premium products to our clientele.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement production strategies that align with the company's objectives.
- Oversee the entire production process, from sourcing raw materials to delivering the final product.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, manufacturers, and vendors to foster successful partnerships.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including design and merchandising, to align product strategies with production schedules.
- Monitor production timelines and capacity to enhance efficiency and meet seasonal deadlines.
- Lead and mentor a team of production professionals, providing support and guidance to enhance team performance.
- Ensure adherence to quality standards, safety regulations, and ethical sourcing practices.
- Drive initiatives for continuous improvement to streamline operations, reduce lead times, and elevate product quality.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Fashion Design, Apparel Production, Supply Chain Management, or a related discipline; a Master's degree is advantageous.
- Demonstrated experience in a senior production management role within the fashion or apparel sector.
- In-depth knowledge of apparel manufacturing processes, including patternmaking, cutting, sewing, and finishing.
- Proven ability to manage production budgets, negotiate contracts, and optimize supply chain efficiency.
- Exceptional leadership and communication skills, with a talent for inspiring and motivating teams.
- Proficiency in production planning tools, ERP systems, and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a results-oriented approach.
- Familiarity with sustainability practices and their relevance to apparel production is preferred.
Compensation: $200,000 - $220,000 annually
Work Environment: This role requires onsite presence four days a week.
