Aviation Safety Inspector

This position serves as a key member of the Federal Aviation Administration's (FAA) team, responsible for ensuring the safety of aviation operations. The Aviation Safety Inspector will work closely with various stakeholders to identify and mitigate safety risks, develop and implement safety policies, and conduct inspections to ensure compliance with FAA regulations.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct inspections and audits to ensure compliance with FAA regulations and policies
- Develop and implement safety policies and procedures to mitigate safety risks
- Collaborate with stakeholders to identify and address safety concerns
- Conduct investigations and analysis to determine root causes of safety incidents
- Develop and implement corrective actions to address safety concerns
- US Citizenship is required
- Selective Service Registration is required for males born after 12/31/1959
- Must submit an SF50 (Notification of Personnel Action)
- Position is designated as Moderate Risk; a background investigation may be required
- Not more than two separate incidents involving Federal Aviation regulations violations in the last 5 years
- Valid State driver's license
- Fluency in the English language
- No chemical dependencies or drug abuse that could interfere with job performance
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Applicants must be physically able to perform the duties of the Aviation Safety Inspector position in a safe and efficient manner, with or without a reasonable accommodation
- Minimum medical requirements include good distant vision in each eye and the ability to hear the conversational voice
