Position Overview

Collaborate with leadership within Business Units to oversee regulations, risks, and control measures. Provide expert regulatory guidance and risk management advice to designated Business Leaders. Share insights regarding risk and compliance initiatives, regulatory project implementations, and organizational projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) to Wealth Brokerage Business Leaders, delivering regulatory and risk guidance to ensure adherence to regulations, policies, procedures, and risk management standards.
  • Work in partnership with colleagues across various business sectors to identify and address regulatory, risk, and control deficiencies.
  • Provide risk management expertise in strategic initiatives and support compliance efforts.
  • Generate metrics to monitor progress towards risk management objectives.
  • Offer suggestions to improve Business Unit processes and deliver training on regulatory and compliance matters to front office staff.
  • Participate in special projects as needed.
Qualifications Required
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business, Finance, or a related discipline.
  • Over 8 years of experience in a financial institution with a focus on risk management.
  • In-depth knowledge of regulatory frameworks and non-financial risks.
  • Capability to evaluate compliance levels and pinpoint areas for enhancement.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, along with strong problem-solving and time management abilities.
  • Proficiency in standard computer applications.
  • Willingness to travel occasionally.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's degree in Finance or Business.
  • 12 years of experience in banking or a related field.
  • Experience in auditing.
  • Strong understanding of relevant business unit(s) field.
  • Possession of FINRA Series 7, 24, 53, and 66 licenses.
