Job Title: Senior Risk Manager

Capital One is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Risk Manager to join our team. As a Senior Risk Manager, you will play a critical role in identifying and mitigating potential risks to the company.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Work with business teams and stakeholders to develop well-designed products, processes, and marketing strategies.
  • Support business partners on risk/return trade-off decisions and lead risk framework discussions.
  • Participate in risk forums and business reporting routines to contribute to continuous improvement of risk management practices.
  • Lead ad-hoc projects to improve processes or control environments to mitigate risks.
  • Analyze data to proactively identify risks and trends.
  • Stay abreast of changing regulatory environments and understand their impacts on business areas.
  • Set and deliver on well-managed agendas, support internal business clients, and lead cross-functional teams.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree or military experience.
  • At least 4 years of experience in risk management or financial services.
  • At least 4 years of program management experience.
  • At least 4 years of experience in partnership management.
  • At least 2 years of experience working in a regulated industry or supporting risk or marketing for a regulated industry.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Masters degree.
  • 6+ years of program management experience leading cross-functional risk programs.
  • 6+ years of financial services risk management experience.
  • 2+ years of experience in Agile or design thinking.
  • Certified Risk Management Assurance (CRMA) or Certified Regulatory Compliance Manager (CRCM).
  • Lean, Six Sigma, or Business Process Management certification.
  • PMP certification or Masters Certificate of Project Management (CPM).
