Position Summary:
Langan is seeking a Renewable Energy Practice Leader to play a pivotal role in advancing our strategic growth within the renewable energy sector on a national scale. This position offers the opportunity to collaborate with firm-wide leadership, driving the development of a robust Renewable Energy practice across a variety of high-profile projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee multi-disciplinary efforts on diverse project sites, emphasizing renewable energy initiatives, including development, permitting, and construction oversight;
- Lead business development efforts by cultivating new client relationships and enhancing existing partnerships;
- Manage multiple projects and tasks, ensuring adherence to budgets, schedules, and deadlines;
- Draft and review proposals and reports, including feasibility studies and technical specifications;
- Guide and mentor a team of technical professionals engaged in renewable energy assessments, design, and permitting.
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline; a Master's degree is preferred;
- 12+ years of experience in developing, permitting, and overseeing renewable energy and/or linear infrastructure projects;
- 7+ years of experience in multidisciplinary Project Management;
- Familiarity with land use processes and regulations;
- Willingness to travel to project sites as needed.
- Professional Engineer, Professional Geologist, Professional Wetland Scientist, or AICP license is advantageous;
- Strong abilities in client development, communication, and management;
- Self-motivated with the capacity to lead, mentor, and inspire others;
- Proven track record of managing projects from conception through to construction documentation;
- Active involvement in professional organizations;
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, including technical writing;
- Meticulous attention to detail with strong analytical and judgment skills;
- Possession of a valid driver's license in good standing is preferred.
