Job Overview

As a Renewable Energy Equipment Operator with Primoris Renewable Energy, you will play a critical role in the construction, repair, and maintenance of infrastructure projects across the United States and Canada. Your primary responsibilities will include operating machinery, performing preventative maintenance, and participating in in-classroom learning requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate machinery used in construction, repair, and maintenance of infrastructure projects.
  • Perform preventative maintenance to ensure safe operation of equipment.
  • Participate in in-classroom learning requirements as outlined in designated program.
  • Prepare and plan layouts and workspaces using blueprints, plans, and diagrams.
  • Engage with mentor daily to receive instruction and guidance.
  • Participate in safety briefs and demonstrate positive working habits.
  • Follow verbal and written instructions, and practice safety rules.
  • Use hand and power tools safely.
  • Report to and assist immediate supervisor.
  • Perform quality work as determined by project specifications.
  • Accountable for all tools, materials, and equipment at the end of your shift.
  • Work well as part of a team and comply with company's drug and alcohol abuse policy.
  • Pass physical examination, pre-employment if necessary, and as required by the company.
  • Ability to climb and maintain balance on ladders, scaffolding, stairways, etc.
  • Ability to stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, or work at elevated heights as well as in confined spaces.
  • Ability to carry 50 lbs. of tools and/or materials.
  • Ability to stand or walk for long periods of time.
  • Ability to work extended hours on your feet on uneven surfaces.
  • Ability to work while wearing personal protective equipment, when required.
  • Applicant/employee must not pose a direct threat to the health or safety of individuals or others in the workplace.
  • Job site safety requirements as required by the client.
