Randstad Saint Louis is collaborating with a client in the Fenton area to find a skilled Mechanical Assembly Technician. Compensation: $18.23 per hour
Shift: Second
Work Hours: 2 PM - 12:30 AM
Education: No Degree Required
Key Responsibilities:
- Obtain work orders from your supervisor.
- Verify the bill of materials for descriptions, quantities, and necessary components to assemble the product.
- Carefully follow the routing and report labor against the correct sequence.
- Review work orders for any special instructions.
- Request production assembly drawings when necessary.
- Inspect all components as they are utilized.
- Conduct thorough inspections of flanges using a .0015" feeler gauge, ensuring compliance with depth specifications.
- Check for defects such as porosity, torn threads, and missing features according to routing instructions.
- Lubricate all specified threaded areas.
- Remove any nonconforming or questionable materials to designated areas until further evaluation.
Essential Functions:
- Wear steel-toed footwear.
- Be prepared to work up to 10 hours of overtime weekly.
