Assembly Technician

We are seeking a skilled Assembly Technician to join our team at Ampcus. As an Assembly Technician, you will be responsible for assembling products on the production line, ensuring high-quality results and meeting production deadlines.
Key Responsibilities- Obtain work orders from your lead person and review them carefully to ensure accuracy.
- Check the bill of material for description, quantity, and parts needed to build the product, and report any discrepancies to your lead person.
- Read the routing carefully and report labor against the proper sequence, ensuring efficient production.
- Review the work order for any special instructions and clarify any unclear information with your lead person or supervisor.
- Request a production assembly drawing from your lead person, supervisor, or inspector when required, and use it to guide your assembly work.
- Inspect all parts as they are being used, ensuring they meet quality standards.
- Flanges must be inspected with a 0.5mm feeler gauge, and parts must be checked for porosity, torn threads, bad paint, and missing features.
- Lubricate all indicated threaded areas and remove nonconforming or questionable material to designated areas until a determination can be made.
- Communicate any problems you are experiencing with the assembly to your lead person, supervisor, or inspector for corrective action.
- Clear your work area and put all consumable parts in their place after completing each work order.
- Return special tools, equipment, and drawings to where they belong, and use downtime constructively to prepare for your next work order or instructions.
To be successful in this role, you will need to have strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced production environment.
