Ryder System, Inc. is seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic Mobile Technician to join our team

We are looking for a highly experienced and certified diesel mechanic to work on our fleet of heavy-duty trucks. As a Diesel Mechanic Mobile Technician, you will be responsible for performing routine preventative maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on our vehicles.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine preventative maintenance, including oil changes, brake and tire work
  • Diagnose and repair complex issues with diesel engines, including AC, electrical systems, and advanced skilled level repairs
  • Work independently and as part of a team to ensure quality of repair work and customer satisfaction
  • Interact with customers to facilitate preventative maintenance, repair issue resolution, and discuss new repair estimates
  • Coordinate work schedule as required by customers and ensure timely completion of tasks

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Vocational or technical certification, post-secondary degree, or technical certifications preferred
  • Basic tools required
  • Three (3) years or more relevant work experience, preferred
  • Non-commercial driver's license, CLASS E, preferred
  • Valid commercial driver's license, CLASS A, preferred
  • Other state driver's license, as required
  • Two (2) years or more experience with mechanical repairs and diagnostics on heavy-duty and medium-duty equipment

Additional Requirements:

  • Pass a Ryder drug test
  • Pass a DOT physical
  • Pass a Ryder road test
  • Pass a Ryder background and motor vehicle check, including drug and alcohol verification from previous employers for the last 3 years
