  • Accounting Expertise: Execute comprehensive accounting functions, including reconciliations, journal entries, financial reporting, and forecasts. Prepare documentation for auditors and tax advisors.
  • Leadership Development: Guide and nurture team members, offering training and mentorship. Promote a cooperative and encouraging team culture.
  • Technology Integration: Investigate and implement innovative accounting software solutions, train team members on their usage, and enhance their application for client services.
  • Recruitment: Participate in the hiring process by conducting interviews and assessing candidates for permanent accounting roles.
Qualifications:
  • Must possess a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation.
  • Minimum of 6 years of comprehensive accounting experience, preferably in a mid-market CPA environment.
  • Significant experience with privately held businesses is crucial.
  • Proven leadership capabilities with a commitment to mentoring and professional growth.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to foster strong client relationships.
  • Bachelor's or master's degree in accounting is preferred.
  • Proficient in accounting software, including Excel, with a readiness to learn new systems.
  • Access to reliable transportation for client and office engagements.
