Job Summary

The Accounting Assistant will be responsible for preparing customers check payments for deposit into the bank, applying customers payments to appropriate invoices as directed by remittance advices, and general clerical duties including scanning, copying and faxing documents.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare customers check payments for deposit into the bank

  • Apply customers payments to appropriate invoices as directed by remittance advices

  • Help research payments that do not include remittance advices

  • Process child support orders by researching status, responding appropriately and setting up deductions for our associates

  • General clerical duties including scanning, copying and faxing documents

  • Assist with mail duties including opening and sorting mail

Requirements

  • Strong organizational and analytical skills

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines

  • Able to effectively communicate with all levels of company personnel and with outside contacts
