This is a hybrid work situation, with the opportunity to work remotely over 50% of the week after an initial training period.

The successful candidate will play a critical role in overseeing all receivables and collections activities, managing a team of approximately ten employees.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Financial Operations: Ensure high-quality billing, purchase order collection, cash collection, and cash application procedures comply with customer requirements and regulatory standards.
  • AR Management: Review and analyze accounts receivable aging, identify potential bad debts, and make informed decisions on customer credit holds and collections.
  • Collections and Negotiations: Develop and implement effective collection strategies, negotiate with customers to resolve outstanding balances, and maintain positive relationships.
  • Team Leadership: Develop and guide a high-performing team to meet individual and company performance goals, focusing on integrity, positivity, and a commitment to excellence.

Requirements:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in business, accounting, or a related field.
  • Experience: 5+ years of work experience in accounts receivable or collections in a high-volume, fast-paced environment, with a proven track record of driving improvements in AR cycle time and related metrics.
  • Leadership Skills: Proven leadership skills, with experience managing a large team, and a deep understanding of accounts receivable processes and metrics.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Software Knowledge: Proficient technical knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, with experience in Great Plains software a plus.
  • System Conversion Experience: Experience with system conversions and the ability to adapt to new systems.
