">About the Job
">The Mechanical EIT II assists senior engineering staff in executing technical activities on assigned projects and learns discipline-specific technical standards and procedures. This role assists the project team in producing projects on time, within budget, and consistent with industry standards.
">Key Responsibilities

- Learns company technical standards and procedures during project execution.">
- Observes and learns industry standards and practices of design analyses using industry software.">
- Assists in executing design processes and analysis on assigned projects, requesting assistance from senior design staff when needed.">
- Assists with production of designs using Revit and/or CADD, overseeing design development by designers as assigned.">
- Performs computer-based engineering calculations and system design functions under supervision.">
- Coordinates project designs with other disciplines to determine equipment needs, provide input for operating procedures, and provide technical information.">
- Attends and participates in meetings with owners, clients, or architects as needed.">
- Develops man-hour budgets and performs tasks in accordance with the budget.">
- Contributes to the development of technical documentation, proposals, and presentations.">
- Communicates design requirements with architects, contractors, and equipment sales representatives to determine project scope and feasibility.">
- Accompanies senior design staff on project job site visits to investigate field conditions and monitor progress based on design specifications, owner expectations, and building codes.">
- Reads and interprets blueprints, specifications, schematics, and engineering reports.">
- Attends internal and external training and educational opportunities to obtain knowledge in necessary technical areas.">
Requirements
">An ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor's or Master's degree in engineering from an ABET-accredited college with two years applicable experience. The candidate should be certified EIT with a state licensure board and proficient in Revit and AutoCAD. Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, engineering theories and methodologies, discipline-specific software, drafting and design procedures, and applicable codes and regulations is required. Strong interpersonal skills, comprehension, written communication skills, speech clarity, detail-orientation, judgment, and decision-making skills are also essential.
