Job Overview

Estimated Salary Range

$60,000 - $90,000 per year based on industry standards and qualifications.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintains liaison with federal agencies, utility companies, and other entities to facilitate effective coordination of utility relocation projects.
  • Develops, maintains, and updates utility relocation schedules to ensure timely completion of projects.
  • Assists in the management of SUE/UC projects, budgets, schedules, and submittals to guarantee compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Participates in marketing SUE/EC services both internally and externally to promote business growth.
  • Prepares proposals and presents them to clients to secure new business opportunities.
  • Develops, implements, and interprets Department policies and procedures related to utility adjustments, relocations, negotiations, reimbursements, and compliance with applicable state and federal laws.
  • Measures, coordinates, and calculates payments such as betterment ratios, eligibility percentages, supplements, market value comparisons, and relocation costs.
  • Meets with utility representatives and other entities to explain the utility accommodation policy and relocation and reimbursement processes, negotiate, answer questions, and resolve problems.
  • Monitors the installation/removal, adjustment or relocation of utilities to ensure safety and efficiency.
  • Oversees current projects for progress and pending projects for planning purposes; consults and advises personnel in policies and procedures.
  • Prepares, processes, and maintains documents, references, and/or resource materials.
  • Reviews agreements, plans, specifications, and billings submitted by utility companies to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Develops and maintains client relationships through excellent communication and customer service skills.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field.
  • Current EIT - Passed Fundamentals Exam (FE).
  • Minimum of 2 years of utility coordination experience.
  • Knowledge of utility coordination process.
  • Knowledge of AutoCAD Civil 3D and Microstation V8i.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to details.
