Investment Risk Manager

Recruiting Resources, Inc. is seeking a seasoned Investment Risk Manager to join their team in Los Angeles, CA. This role will involve developing and enhancing investment risk and strategic asset allocation procedures and processes, as well as reporting and analytics tools, to identify, monitor, communicate, and manage major asset and fund risk concerns.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the development of market and non-market risk identification, measurement, and communication strategies across the portfolio.
- Design and implement private market asset allocation models to inform investment decisions.
- Develop and maintain analytical tools for ad-hoc risk analysis at the portfolio and company level, including factor exposures, beta, VaR, attribution, and scenario analysis.
- Enhance the framework for monitoring market, exposure, and company-specific risks across the portfolio.
- Assist in evaluating complex transactions with highly granular credit-like collateral.
- Collaborate with clients during diligence or significant market events to instill confidence in the risk management process.
- Coordinate with risk management teams to maintain a consistent risk framework across the organization.
- Build long-term relationships with key stakeholders in investment management, finance, and control.
- Participate in regular committee and department meetings.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in sciences, math, engineering, or economics.
- MBA, Advanced degree in quantitative finance, and/or CFA preferred.
- 8-10 years of professional or academic experience in risk management and/or quantitative asset allocation.
- Thorough knowledge of alternatives and broader fixed income markets.
- Proven success in developing, building, and overseeing risk management processes.
- Strong working knowledge of various inputs to the credit investment process.
