The J. Paul Getty Trust, The is seeking a highly skilled Senior Investment Manager to join their team. As a key member of the investment team, the successful candidate will be responsible for sourcing and evaluating prospective managers, conducting due diligence, and monitoring existing managers.

The ideal candidate will have a strong investment track record, with at least ten years of experience working at a family office, endowment, foundation, OCIO firm, fund of funds, or similar organization allocating capital to external investment managers.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Sourcing and maintaining a pipeline of investment opportunities that will provide a strategic advantage to the Getty's investment portfolio
  • Conducting thorough due diligence on the most compelling prospective opportunities, including analysis of investment strategy, process, organization, portfolio positions, and performance
  • Remaining current on new managers and developing trends by attending conferences, annual meetings, and building and maintaining a well-developed network of contacts within the investment community
  • Developing strategic direction for asset classes of responsibility and actively participating in asset allocation discussions on opportunities, sizing, and role of asset classes in the portfolio
  • Providing guidance and mentorship to less experienced team members, facilitating the ongoing development of the investment team's skillset and fostering career progression
  • Working with the investment operations team to develop and maintain reports that analyze fund and portfolio-level exposures, risk metrics, liquidity, and performance attribution
  • Collaborating with the CIO and other team members on asset allocation decisions and sharing investment knowledge as well as economic and market information

The successful candidate will be a proven investor with a strong knowledge of capital market dynamics, risk, and complex investment strategies. They will also have an established network of investment contacts and GP relationships, with the ability to access independent networks for manager evaluation and reference checking purposes.
