Job Overview

We are in search of a skilled and reliable Metal Fabrication Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the assembly of metal components and the installation of primary parts for HVAC systems. A solid background in metalworking, attention to detail, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively are essential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Component Assembly: Fabricate, shape, and assemble metal parts according to detailed specifications and engineering drawings for HVAC units.
  • Main Component Installation: Precisely install essential HVAC components, ensuring they are fitted correctly and function as intended.
  • Quality Assurance: Conduct thorough inspections of completed products to ensure they meet quality standards and comply with safety regulations.
  • Tool Utilization: Operate hand tools, power tools, and machinery with safety and efficiency to accomplish tasks.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Carry out regular maintenance on tools and machinery, reporting any issues to the supervisor promptly.
  • Team Collaboration: Collaborate effectively with team members and other departments to facilitate smooth production processes and timely project completion.
  • Safety Adherence: Follow all safety guidelines and protocols to ensure a secure working environment.

Qualifications:

  • Experience: Demonstrated experience in metal fabrication and assembly, particularly with sheet metal in HVAC applications.
  • Technical Proficiency: Ability to read and understand technical drawings and blueprints. Skilled in the use of hand and power tools.
  • Detail Orientation: Exceptional attention to detail and precision in the assembly and installation of components.
  • Physical Capability: Must be able to lift heavy materials, stand for long periods, and perform tasks requiring manual dexterity.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong problem-solving abilities and capacity to address challenges during the assembly and installation processes.
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training in metalworking or a related field is advantageous.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certification or formal training in HVAC systems or metal fabrication.
  • Prior experience in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
