Role Overview: As a Junior Systems Administrator, you will help ensure that today is secure and tomorrow is smarter. Your contributions will support our intelligence customer.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and maintain the workflows of an organization's computer systems, ensuring reliable operation and configuration.
- Provide on-site and remote support for users, coordinating site visits and upgrades as necessary.
- Deliver Tier 2 and Tier 3 support for Unix/Windows workstations and servers, including web servers and network-attached storage devices.
- Oversee desktop system management tasks such as account monitoring, security, and operating system installations.
- Assist in the implementation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of IT systems and infrastructure.
- Conduct routine and emergency maintenance of assigned data center equipment.
- Collaborate on the development and testing of backup and recovery plans.
- Ensure systems adhere to security guidelines and maintain operational procedures.
Qualifications:
- Technical training, certifications, or a degree in a related field.
- 3+ years of relevant experience.
- Security+ certification or DoD 8570 Level II equivalent required within 90 days of hire.
- TS/SCI Clearance required with eligibility for CI Poly.
- Experience in UNIX, Windows, and/or storage administration.
- Ability to respond to after-hours calls and provide on-call support.
- Capability to travel 0-20% to various locations.
- Strong prioritization and execution skills in high-pressure environments.
Physical Requirements: The role may require lifting or moving equipment (up to 40 pounds).
Desired Skills:
- Experience in the imagery intelligence domain is a plus.
- Ability to create and modify scripts across multiple platforms.
- General knowledge of database and network administration.
Location: On Customer Site, US Citizenship Required.
