Responsibilities of the Automotive Parts Specialist:
  • Assist all customers (retail and service) in selecting necessary parts in a courteous, professional, and efficient manner.
  • Inform customers about related part requirements and promotions, ensuring they are aware of the complete product range.
  • Respond to phone inquiries, providing pricing information and other relevant details.
  • Review service estimates to confirm the accuracy of ordered parts and ensure pricing aligns with the estimate.
  • Deliver exceptional service to both internal and external customers.
  • Retrieve and fulfill orders from inventory.
  • Alert the parts manager regarding out-of-stock items or urgent shop materials.
  • Notify service advisors and customers when special orders arrive.
  • Follow up on back-ordered items.
  • Restock assigned inventory on a daily basis.
  • Assist outside sales representatives with their orders.
  • Ensure all internal parts requests are billed appropriately on service repair orders.
  • Process payments from retail customers or obtain necessary credit approvals.
  • Ensure all charge sales are signed by the customer.
  • Provide customers with their invoice copies.
  • Issue credits for returned parts, verifying original invoices or their numbers for accuracy.
  • Maintain organized records of all repair orders, invoices, insurance estimates, and special orders.
  • Engage with assigned accounts via phone for follow-up.
  • Keep front and rear counter areas tidy and organized.
  • Participate in all available training programs.
  • Stay updated on new products and product enhancements.
  • Collaborate with the parts manager to maintain a lost sales tracking system.
Qualifications of the Automotive Parts Specialist:
  • Valid Driver's License with a clean driving record.
  • High School diploma or GED is required.
  • Preferred experience in similar roles, with at least 1 year of experience.
  • Successful completion of a drug screening.
  • Passing a background investigation is required.
