Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team at Quality Carriers. As a Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for assisting mechanics in performing preventive maintenance inspections on tractors and cargo tank trailers, as well as performing moderate to complex repairs on various systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist mechanics in performing preventive maintenance inspections on tractors and cargo tank trailers.
- Perform moderate to complex repairs on engines, drive trains, brakes, suspension systems, hydraulic systems, fuel systems, cooling systems, alternators, electrical systems, instrumentations, trailer bulk product transfer, handling and storage systems, and other necessary power equipment.
- Operate steaming machinery and connect, monitor, and disconnect steam to the heating coils of a loaded cargo tank.
- Document heating operations on a steam log and verify product name on the bill of lading with Safety Data Sheet (SDS) prior to conducting steam operations.
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalent required, trade or technical school graduate.
- 1-2 years of basic maintenance and/or mechanic experience.
- Valid driver's license.
- Strong computer skills.
- Ability to carry out instructions accurately and read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions.
- Able to operate heavy machinery similar to steamer or boiler and demonstrate knowledge and understanding of mechanical components.
- Knowledge of using standard hand and power tools and ability to work as a team player.
