Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician I to join our team at Manufacturing Maintenance Solutions Inc. in East Peoria, IL. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will perform mechanical, electrical, and systems troubleshooting, repair, and preventive maintenance on equipment in accordance with manufacturer's manuals, diagrams, sketches, etc.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform mid-level break-fix & preventative maintenance, including observing devices in operation to locate root cause of problem, dismantling devices to gain access to and remove defective parts, and examining parts to detect imperfections.
  • Adjust functional parts of devices and control instruments, repair and/or replacement of defective parts, testing of device to observe performance, and performing tests for electrical circuitry and mechanical systems.
  • Recondition and repair machine tools, and perform advanced maintenance functions as part of training and development.
  • Support and back up other team members as directed by leadership, provide assistance (mentorship) to lower-level technicians and leadership to small teams, and update records in CMMS.
  • Assure compliance with 5S and housekeeping standards, provide inputs in CI activities-processes, results, and cost savings, and set up and operate simple machining operations including lathe, drill press, grinder, and other metalworking tools to make and repair parts.
  • Perform basic welding tasks, and work in a factory environment with exposure to hazardous materials and/or greasy or slippery factory floors.
Requirements

Must have experience in industrial manufacturing maintenance and wish to develop into senior roles or specialist roles. Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment, lift and/or move more than 50 pounds, and use close vision and color vision.
