POSITION OVERVIEW

We are seeking an experienced Electronics Technician Maintenance Specialist to support our Army Training Aids, Devices, Simulators, and Simulations (TADSS) Maintenance Program (ATMP) Contract. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing electronic TADSS and equipment, ensuring they are functioning properly and safely.

RESPONSIBILITIES / DUTIES
  • Perform all functions required to maintain and repair electronic TADSS and equipment.
  • Conduct preventative maintenance in accordance with technical guidelines and equipment specifications, ensuring proper functionality and safe operating conditions.
  • Apply technical knowledge to solve routine electrical, mechanical, and computer issues by interpreting manufacturers' manuals or similar documents.
  • Research technical manuals to ensure proper understanding of device functionality.
  • Perform inventory of spare/repair parts in accordance with contractual guidelines.
  • Enter work order data in a timely and accurate manner into the management information system.
  • Provide direction/guidance and check lower-level technicians' work.
  • Ensure all paperwork and reports are completed in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Read and interpret schematic drawings and diagrams required to perform maintenance.
  • This position may require travel to other installations and other ATMP locations throughout CONUS and OCONUS.
  • Other duties may be assigned.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
  • Minimum 5 years' work experience with computer, networks, and electronics testing/troubleshooting.
  • Working knowledge of Cisco, Microsoft, and Linux OS experience required.
  • Valid driver's license and On-Post driving privileges required.
  • Must be able to wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) when required in accordance with OSHA standards.
  • Work independently and as part of a team.
  • Must be willing to travel to locations of up to 1000 miles by plane or rental vehicle.
  • Travel may include 1-3 weeks (weekends included) up to 10 times a year.
PREFERRED SKILLS / KNOWLEDGE
  • Bachelor's degree or industry-standard certifications in computer science, engineering, business administration, or related field.
  • Experience maintaining flight training devices and electronics.
  • Excellent written and oral communications skills, attention to detail, strong organizational skills, computer proficiency, and the ability to work under strict deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, customer service, and decision-making skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Excel).
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
  • Stand for long periods of time.
  • Must have the ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds without assistance.
  • Bend, squat, climb, and reach.
  • Repetitive motion. Substantial movements (motions) of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers.
  • The worker is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing: viewing a computer monitor; extensive reading.
  • May be exposed to extreme weather conditions.
  • Experience utilizing test equipment to include: torque wrenches, volt/micrometers, network cable crimping/testers, and solder stations to support repairs.
