Job Summary:
Position Title: Natural/Organic Department Manager
FLSA Status: Salary
Reports To: Store Director/Department Director
The Natural/Organic Department Manager is accountable for the overall management of the Natural/Organic section within the store, striving to meet or surpass sales, gross profit, and labor objectives. Responsibilities encompass ordering, invoice processing, stocking, inventory management, and ensuring the department meets quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and manage workload effectively.
- Implement display standards to enhance product visibility.
- Collaborate with in-store management and the Department Director.
- Oversee inventory management to minimize shrinkage.
- Deliver outstanding customer service and address guest inquiries.
- Maintain accurate timekeeping for department associates.
- Ensure quality standards are consistently met.
- Maintain regular attendance and communicate schedule changes effectively.
- Perform additional duties as required.
Qualifications:
To excel in this role, candidates should possess the following:
- High School diploma or equivalent experience.
- Comprehensive knowledge of retail food operations and merchandising.
- Strong interpersonal skills for effective communication with customers and team members.
- Excellent organizational and planning abilities.
- Understanding of safety protocols and company policies.
- Familiarity with relevant equipment and procedures.
Physical Requirements and Work Environment:
Associates must be able to stand for extended periods, walk throughout the store, and perform physical tasks such as bending and lifting. The role requires visual acuity for monitoring store conditions and creating appealing displays.
Work Schedule:
This is a full-time salaried position, with a schedule that may include mornings, afternoons, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
