Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Electrician to join our team at RTX. As a Maintenance Electrician, you will be responsible for performing complex electrical and electronic maintenance, operation, and improvement of equipment and facilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and perform electrical and electronic maintenance, operation, and improvement of equipment and facilities.
  • Read and draw schematics for electrical and electronic trades.
  • Perform industrial electrical and electronic maintenance, diagnosis, and repair on N/C and CNC machines and electronic controls.
  • Apply the fundamentals of industrial mechanics, including the principles of hydraulic and pneumatic systems, and troubleshoot system/component problems.
  • Effectively communicate with tradespeople and vendors.
  • Apply the principles of industrial safety and handling of hazardous materials as it relates to electrical and electronic trades.
  • Manage multiple competing priorities simultaneously.
  • Must be flexible around shifts for coverage and training, including overtime.
  • Must be able to obtain an Industrial Vehicle license to perform related job duties.

Requirements:

  • High School or GED.
  • 1 year of related experience in industrial electrical/electronics or a completed technical certificate/post-secondary degree in a related field.
  • U.S. citizenship is required.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Professional industrial electrical/electronic experience specializing in machine maintenance, diagnostic skills, N/C and CNC machines, and electronic controls.
  • Professional electrical construction experience (110v electrical outlets, conduit installation, etc.).
  • Experience interpreting complex electrical and electronic drawings and diagrams.
  • Experience using various machine and hand tools and checking instruments.
  • Knowledge of advanced shop mathematics, including applied algebra and geometry.
  • Competent in Microsoft Office and SAP.
  • Completed technical school certificate or degree.

Role Type:

This role is Onsite. Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance workers, as they are essential to the development of our engines.

Candidates will learn more about role type and current site status throughout the recruiting process. For onsite and hybrid roles, commuting to and from the assigned site is the employee's personal responsibility.
