Job Title: RN Charge Nurse Medical Surgical Nights

At Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital, we are seeking a skilled and compassionate RN Charge Nurse to join our Medical Surgical team. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and leadership to our nursing staff.

About the Role:
  • Provide direct patient care and coordinate with the healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
  • Lead and mentor a team of nurses to deliver high-quality patient care and promote a positive work environment.
  • Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient care plans.
  • Monitor and manage patient flow, ensuring efficient and effective use of resources.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of policies and procedures.

Requirements:
  • A current state RN license or a current multistate compact license.
  • An associate or bachelor's degree from an accredited nursing school.
  • Two or more years of recent RN experience, with one year of hospital staff nurse experience required.
  • Current American Heart Association BLS certification (or) obtained within 90 days after hire date.
  • Current American Heart Association ACLS certification (or) obtained within 90 days after hire date.
  • Current American Heart Association PALS certification (or) obtained within 90 days after hire date.
  • Successfully pass an arrhythmia exam within 90 days after hire date.
  • Critical thinking skills, decisive judgment, and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Language Skills: Able to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
