Senior Materials and Processes Engineer

Northrop Grumman is seeking a highly skilled Senior Materials and Processes Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for leading all non-metallic efforts on a classified program.
Key Responsibilities:- Address issues with sealants, coatings, and subsystems.
- Oversee and participate in the generation of test plans and reports.
- Review and approve subcontractor material processing procedures.
- Perform root cause analysis of material failures and provide effective solutions to production issues.
- Analyze, research, design, and develop materials and their related fabrication and application processes.
- Apply principles of chemistry, physics, and material behavior to develop metallic, non-metallic, and composite material and processing specifications.
- Bachelor's degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) discipline.
- Minimum of 9 years of experience in composites for airframe structures.
- Experience with metallic fabrication and design on aircraft.
- Experience with repair processes for metallic materials used in aerospace structures.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Clearance.
- Ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) clearance.
- BS or MS in Materials Science or similar.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to collaborate in a team environment.
- Ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities and/or accomplish them simultaneously.
- Ability to comprehend and analyze complex problems and develop solutions.

- 9/80 work schedule with every other Friday off.
