Position Overview:
As a key member of the MRI department, you will play a vital role in ensuring patient safety and delivering exceptional care. Your expertise will be instrumental in collaborating with fellow technologists to maintain high standards of service and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities:
  • MR Safety Oversight: Ensure compliance with MR safety protocols and provide guidance to staff on best practices.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with MRI personnel to foster a culture of superior patient care, emphasizing comfort and confidentiality.
  • Equipment Operation: Efficiently operate MRI scanners while adhering to established procedures.
  • Communication: Liaise with hospital leadership, nursing staff, and other medical imaging professionals to ensure seamless patient care.
  • Patient Vetting: Actively participate in the assessment of patients to guarantee their safety during procedures.
  • Staff Scheduling: Manage the scheduling of MRI staff to optimize department workflow.
  • IV Administration: Perform IV starts as required for patient procedures.
  • Quality Standards: Uphold the standards set by regulatory bodies and ensure compliance with quality assurance measures.

Schedule:
This position typically requires three days of work per week, with the expectation of overnight call rotations and holiday coverage as needed.

Equipment Utilized:
Familiarity with GE 450W 1.5T, Siemens Aura 1.5T, Cerner RIS, and Synapse PACS is advantageous.

Qualifications:
To qualify, candidates must possess national certification from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) and/or relevant licensure. Advanced certification in MRI is required, along with BLS certification. A minimum of three years of clinical experience is preferred, demonstrating effective communication and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications:
A bachelor's degree in a healthcare-related field and prior supervisory experience are highly regarded. Additional education and experience in related areas are also beneficial.
