Position Overview:
As a key member of the MRI department, you will play a vital role in ensuring patient safety and providing exceptional care. Your expertise will guide the team in maintaining high standards of MR safety and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities:
  • MR Safety Oversight: Ensure adherence to MR safety protocols and share technical knowledge with team members.
  • Patient Care Excellence: Collaborate with MRI staff to deliver superior patient care, ensuring comfort, safety, and confidentiality.
  • Equipment Operation: Operate MRI scanners efficiently while maintaining high-quality imaging standards.
  • Communication: Liaise with hospital leadership, nursing staff, and other imaging professionals to coordinate patient care.
  • Patient Vetting: Actively participate in the assessment of patients to ensure their safety during procedures.
  • Staff Management: Oversee MRI staff scheduling and assist in training and mentoring new team members.
  • Compliance: Uphold standards set by regulatory bodies and ensure departmental policies are followed.

Work Schedule:
This position requires a commitment of three days per week, with additional overnight call rotations and holiday coverage as needed.

Equipment Utilized:
Our facilities are equipped with advanced technology, including GE 450W 1.5T and Siemens Aura 1.5T MRI systems, as well as Cerner RIS and Synapse PACS.

Qualifications:
To qualify, candidates must possess national certification from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) and relevant state licensure. Advanced certification in MRI is required, along with BLS certification. A minimum of three years of clinical experience is necessary, along with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications:
A bachelor's degree in a healthcare-related field and prior supervisory experience are preferred. Additional education and experience in related areas are advantageous.
