Position Overview:

Key Responsibilities:
  • Patient Safety: Ensure the safety of patients during MRI procedures by adhering to established protocols and guidelines.
  • High-Quality Imaging: Operate MRI scanners to produce high-quality images, maintaining proficiency in current MRI protocols.
  • Collaboration: Work collaboratively with healthcare staff, including emergency department personnel and nursing teams, to provide comprehensive patient care.
  • Implant Vetting: Actively participate in the evaluation of implants, coordinating with MRSO and MRMD to guarantee patient safety.
  • Department Readiness: Contribute to maintaining the department's preparedness for regulatory reviews and compliance with ACR standards.
  • Inventory Management: Oversee the ordering of supplies, equipment cleaning, and preparation of scan rooms.
  • Equipment Troubleshooting: Identify and report equipment issues to ensure optimal performance.
  • Image Processing: Responsible for post-processing images, including transferring them to PACS and ensuring all steps are completed accurately.

You should demonstrate a keen interest in all aspects of the role, including patient safety, room preparation, image acquisition, time management, and post-processing.

Schedule:
This position involves working three nights a week, with a holiday coverage rotation that includes one major and one minor holiday per year.

Equipment Utilization:
You will work with advanced MRI technology, including Siemens 1.5T GE 450W and 1.5T Siemens Aura systems.

Minimum Qualifications:
National certification from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) and/or modality-specific licensure is required. Candidates must also obtain advanced certification in MRI within 18 months of hire, along with BLS certification.

Preferred Qualifications:
