Technical Director - Senior

Our firm is seeking an accomplished Technical Director to enhance our architectural practice. You will be a distinguished architect and a recognized technical authority with a wealth of experience in prestigious, design-centric projects. As a Technical Director, your role will involve guiding various teams of architects and designers to achieve exceptional architectural outcomes. Utilize your extensive industry knowledge and technical expertise to steer client projects from initial concept to final construction.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee client relations, team dynamics, and project management, ensuring comprehensive documentation coordination with structural, MEP, lighting, AV, landscape, and civil consultants.
  • Facilitate effective communication among project teams, clients, vendors, contractors, consultants, and regulatory officials.
  • Offer technical insights and innovative solutions to tackle intricate technical and design issues.
  • Maintain and update project manuals and specifications.
  • Demonstrate a proven capacity to manage multiple projects and teams simultaneously.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture.
  • 15+ years of experience in an architectural environment.
  • Licensed or registered architect.
  • Proficient in Revit, Bluebeam Revu, and MS Office.
  • In-depth knowledge of building codes, standards, construction practices, and sustainable building strategies.
  • LEED accreditation is mandatory.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills with a collaborative approach to working with construction teams.
  • Strong commitment to sustainability and green building practices is essential. Portfolios should showcase at least one project focused on this area, and candidates should be prepared to discuss it during interviews, particularly projects with LEED, Living Building Challenge, WELL Building Standard, Fitwell, or Net Zero Building certification.
