Role Overview

The Enterprise Business Strategist will be an integral member of the FRFS Enterprise Architecture team.

This role involves proactively guiding the FRFS leadership through transformative initiatives, focusing on optimizing business strategies, outcomes, and capabilities.

The strategist's responsibilities encompass aiding the FRFS enterprise in achieving key business objectives, such as enhancing revenue, reducing costs, and managing risks.

Your Responsibilities

  • Facilitate the development of business strategies, including financial assessments, opportunity recognition, and technology evaluations.
  • Engage with essential business stakeholders to uncover innovative business and technology opportunities that align with and propel business strategies.
  • Create deliverables that illustrate pathways for the business to reach its strategic objectives and desired outcomes.
  • Utilize actionable insights to assist business and technology leaders in making informed investment choices.
  • Evaluate immediate and long-term requirements to prioritize business and technology investments.
  • Employ a suite of business architecture tools to aid leaders in making strategic business and IT investment decisions.

Deliverables may include business outcome statements, strategic overviews, scenario planning, business capability models, value stream maps, business process diagrams, customer profiles, journey maps, customer-centric designs, and investment roadmaps.


Ensure coherence between business and operational models by demonstrating the interconnections among components, ensuring that the business model narrative is logical.


Explore avenues to promote the adoption of new technologies while maximizing the use of existing technologies to enhance business capabilities, value streams, and processes.

Support the development of cross-business solutions that integrate knowledge of business capabilities, value streams, and processes.

Your Background

  • Bachelor's degree in business, information systems, or a related field, or equivalent extensive experience; an M.B.A. is preferred.
  • A minimum of five years of experience in business strategy formulation, business analysis, and business architecture, preferably within the financial sector.
  • At least three years of experience in solution architecture, encompassing both business and technology architecture solutions.
  • Proficiency in assessing the value and risks associated with existing, new, and emerging technologies in relation to innovative business designs.
  • Expertise in designing and developing business capabilities, value streams, and processes.
  • Familiarity with business process management, workflow, and integration methodologies.
  • Experience with formal architectural modeling, with a preference for tools like MEGA HOPEX.
  • Strong understanding of architectural frameworks such as TOGAF, SAFe, and ArchiMate.
  • Exceptional analytical and conceptual skills, with the ability to develop original concepts for diverse projects.
  • Effective communication skills, capable of influencing and persuading both business and technology leaders.
  • Respected as a thought leader with the ability to maintain trust and confidence among peers and stakeholders.
  • Collaborative and supportive of business ideals and strategies.
  • Organizationally astute, experienced in engaging with business leaders, and able to navigate challenges diplomatically.
  • Innovative with a strong aptitude for foresight and systems thinking.
