Position Overview:

The Equipment Service Technician plays a crucial role in maintaining, repairing, and enhancing various manufacturing equipment, ensuring that production areas meet their safety, quality, and efficiency objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Address equipment emergency downtimes, identify root causes of failures, and execute timely repairs.
  • Conduct preventive maintenance during both production and non-production periods.
  • Record daily activities in the Computerized Maintenance Management System (Maximo).
  • Assist with maintenance activities during weekends.
  • Complete assigned work orders when not engaged in emergency repairs.
  • Support scheduled maintenance during plant shutdowns.
  • Participate in all required training and pursue self-development opportunities.
  • Assist with equipment installations, removals, and demonstrations as necessary.

Candidate Profile:

Required Experience:

  • At least three months of relevant experience in a manufacturing setting with a two-year technical degree.
  • Alternatively, a minimum of two years of relevant experience without a degree.

Required Education:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.

Preferred Skills:

  • Multi-craft technical expertise in areas such as electrical, mechanical, automation, PLC logic, robotics, CNC, hydraulics, and pneumatics.
  • Ability to interpret various technical drawings and blueprints.
  • Strong time management capabilities.
  • Effective communication skills with Production, Engineering, and other associates.
  • Basic computer proficiency.

Additional Job Specific Skills:

  • Experience in a manufacturing environment involving coolant, grease, oil, and noise.
  • Willingness to work an average of 5-8 hours of overtime weekly, primarily on weekends.
  • Availability to work weekends, holidays, and during plant shutdowns as required.
  • Flexibility to work any shift (First, Second, or Third).
  • Minimal travel may be required for training and equipment assessments.
