Position Overview
The role of the Manufacturing Equipment Engineering Supervisor is pivotal in leading the engineering team through effective problem-solving, continuous improvement, and mentoring initiatives. This position is essential for aligning production efficiency, introducing new models, and implementing strategic business plans.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise equipment operations and line efficiency within the designated area.
- Foster the growth of team members through ongoing training and mentorship, enhancing management skills for both personal and team development.
- Assess and manage critical production challenges, including downtime, quality, and safety, ensuring timely resource allocation and action.
- Guide team members in addressing concerns and resolving issues through the PDCA (Plan-Do-Check-Act) methodology.
- Review daily reports to monitor SEQDCM conditions and manage departmental output effectively.
- Oversee projects related to business planning and new model introductions.
- Manage necessary organizational resources, including manpower, structure, and budget, to meet operational goals.
- Collaborate on the development of business strategies and new technologies to enhance production capabilities and ensure team feedback is integrated.
Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field (e.g., Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or Robotics Engineering).
- A minimum of 8 years of relevant experience.
- Familiarity with the Honda business planning process.
- Proven expertise in the manufacturing sector.
Work Environment
- Onsite position with a travel requirement of 0-15% for training and support.
- Availability for overtime, including weekends and holidays, as needed.
- Flexibility to work varying shifts for extended periods when requested.
