Key Responsibilities

  • The Registered Nurse operates under the guidance of the Nurse Director/Manager, ensuring the coordination of safe patient care delivery for diverse patient populations.
  • The RN evaluates patient and family needs, formulates and prioritizes patient objectives, assesses care delivery, and continuously adjusts the care plan to address the biological, emotional, psychosocial, spiritual, developmental, and educational needs of patients and their families. The RN delegates care appropriately to enhance patient outcomes.
  • The RN adheres to the applicable Nurse Practice Act.
  • Collects and interprets patient health information through thorough assessments.
  • Identifies and prioritizes the biological, emotional, psychosocial, spiritual, developmental, and educational needs of patients and families.
  • Develops and assesses care plans based on patient needs and priorities.
  • Coordinates care with other healthcare professionals and departments to ensure safe, age-appropriate, and culturally sensitive care, achieving optimal outcomes.
  • Demonstrates proficiency in service-specific clinical skills and complies with unit and departmental requirements.
  • Engages patients and families in the care process.
  • Conducts medication reconciliation upon admission, during transfers, and at discharge or as prescribed for outpatient settings.
  • Ensures the delivery of safe and quality care by identifying patient-specific risk factors (e.g., fall risks, skin breakdown risks, etc.).

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • Valid RN Licensure in the state.
  • Current BLS certification upon hire.
  • Specific certifications may be required within the first year of employment.
  • Associate Degree in Nursing.
  • Basic computer skills are essential.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing.
  • At least one year of recent experience in a similar healthcare environment.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Outlook, Excel).
