Director of Speech Services

Columbus Speech & Hearing is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Speech Services to lead our Speech Department. As a key member of our Executive Leadership Team, you will be responsible for driving the success of our Speech services, ensuring exceptional employee experience, and promoting excellence in all aspects of our operations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Direct and manage the Speech Department, ensuring high-quality services and meeting program quality and financial indicators.
  • Develop and implement strategies to promote excellence, improve productivity, and enhance the overall performance of the Speech team.
  • Oversee the management and supervision of Speech department staff, including performance evaluations, training, and development programs.
  • Collaborate with the Director of Operations to support the collection and use of data for outcome reporting and accreditation purposes.
  • Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and maintain positive inter-agency relationships with public and private agencies.
  • Develop and manage the department's budget, ensuring fiscal responsibility and effective resource allocation.
  • Partner with Human Resources to address recruitment and retention needs within the Speech department.
  • Assist the President & CEO in planning program development and establishing an annual department budget.
Requirements:
  • Master's degree in Speech Pathology.
  • Minimum 5-10 years of professional experience in delivery of speech and language services.
  • Minimum 5-10 years of management experience in a clinical setting.
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence issued by American Speech-Language-Hearing Association.
  • Licensure in Audiology or Speech Language Pathology issued by Ohio Speech and Hearing Professionals Board.
Work Environment:

This position is held in a clinical setting, with opportunities to work in the community, schools, and preschools. The role requires availability beyond regular hours for special projects and community involvement.
