Speech Language Pathologist Job Description

Columbus Speech & Hearing is seeking a skilled Speech Language Pathologist to join our team. As a Speech Language Pathologist, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality speech and language services to individuals, families, and the community.

Responsibilities:
  • Manage a clinical caseload, completing screenings, evaluations, treatment, and consultative recommendations.
  • Provide services at our main center, contract sites, community-based preschools, and community settings.
  • Follow all policies and procedures, as outlined in our center and departmental manuals.
  • Complete special assignments, as requested, such as subbing for group programs or serving on committees.
  • Work with the Director of Speech Services to determine a work schedule that meets the needs of the center.
  • Attend weekly department staff meetings and monthly center staff meetings, unless excused by the Director of Speech Services.
  • Create and meet annual goals as part of the performance review process.
Requirements:
  • Master's degree in speech/language pathology.
  • Hold the Certificate of Clinical Competence awarded by the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association.
  • Hold or be actively acquiring a license in speech pathology from the State of Ohio.
  • Meet the health standards of the Ohio Department of Health, if required for specific clinical assignments.
  • Physical requirements include lifting up to 30 pounds, sitting on the floor to interact with young children, and moving efficiently and quickly.
