Job Summary

Noblis MSD is seeking a highly skilled Configuration Manager to support various ship programs for the US Navy. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing, maintaining, and managing program requirements, as well as writing, reviewing, and maintaining plans related to the DDG 51 program.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare, maintain, and manage program requirements
  • Write, review, and maintain plans related to the DDG 51 program
  • Lead and moderate peer reviews
  • Participate and conduct quarterly program, ready to test, delivery, and other related audits
  • Support data call requests
  • Maintain inventory and status of artifacts associated with ship software deliveries
  • Assist project managers and branch heads in program review preparations
  • Maintain configuration management for technical documents within the branch

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in a related technical field and 2+ years of experience as a configuration analyst/manager
  • Experience coordinating and leading meetings
  • Experience communicating status, risks, problems, and formulating effective solutions
  • Experience with requirements management
  • Strong MS Office skills

Desired Qualifications:

  • Ability to prioritize tasking and manage time effectively
  • Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines without incurring undue risk or degraded quality
  • Ability to recognize and request needed artifacts from the appropriate parties that make up the task completion team
  • Attention to detail
  • Familiarity with software configuration management
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite (especially Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Project)
  • Proficiency with DOORS
  • Familiarity with software problem tracking

  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
  • Outstanding organizational skills
  • Familiarity with the Waterfall and Iterative Waterfall software development life cycles
  • Experience with risk management
  • Familiarity and experience working at CMMI Level 3 or higher
