\ComponentAs an engineering manager at CallRail, you will be responsible for overseeing the development, testing, and release of features critical to stakeholders across the organization. This includes managing a team of software engineers, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and ensuring the efficient and effective execution of projects. The successful candidate will have a deep understanding of software development principles, excellent communication skills, and a willingness to continuously improve processes and tools.

In addition to technical expertise, the ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, including experience managing Stakeholders, guiding team growth, and fostering collaboration among team members. A strong bias towards action, combined with a focus on delivering results, is essential for this role.

  • Project management: Oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of projects within customer accounts and billing domains.
  • Team management: Guide a team of software engineers, providing mentorship to support their growth and success in their roles.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with peer groups of engineering managers to align on project dependencies.
  • Communication: Communicate upwards and outwards with stakeholders, including senior management from other departments, to ensure they are informed of project progress and aligned with the team's priorities.
  • Continuous improvement: Continually evaluate the team's processes and tools to drive maximum sustainable efficiency.

  • Engineering management experience at a software-as-a-service (SaaS) company.
  • Proven experience helping engineers achieve their goals, including management of Staff+ level engineers and growth of early career engineers to Senior engineering levels.
  • Excellent communication skills, allowing you to work well within your team and across engineering.
  • A willingness to deliver and receive direct feedback to continually improve.
  • Experience managing stakeholder expectations.
