Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician II to join our team at JW Marriott Scottsdale Camelback Inn Resort & Spa. As a key member of our engineering and facilities team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our hotel's mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Respond to and resolve guest repair requests with minimal supervision
  • Perform preventive maintenance on tools and equipment, including cleaning and lubrication
  • Identify and operate shut-off valves for equipment and buildings
  • Maintain inventory and requisition parts and supplies as needed
  • Communicate with guests and colleagues to resolve maintenance issues
  • Display proficiency in various categories, including air conditioning and refrigeration, electrical, mechanical, and plumbing
  • Troubleshoot and repair equipment, including pumps and motors, plumbing, and electrical systems
  • Program TVs and perform general housekeeping and engineering-related duties
  • Assist with surface preparation and painting, minor drywall and wood trim repair, and light bulb and A/C filter replacement
  • Use the Lockout/Tagout system before performing maintenance work
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent and vocational or technical background
  • At least 2 years of hotel engineering/maintenance experience
  • Valid Driver's License
  • Universal Chlorofluorocarbon (CFC) Certification
  • Meet applicable state and federal certification and/or licensing requirements
