Position Summary: The Assistant Court Clerk is responsible for managing case files and operational tasks in a busy judicial environment. This role involves maintaining records, processing payments, and providing exceptional service to the public.

Key Responsibilities:

The Assistant Court Clerk will ensure that court directives are followed and that legal documents are accurately prepared in line with established policies and procedures.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Preparing and finalizing court dockets
  • Assigning courtroom duties
  • Entering data accurately
  • Assessing and processing fines and costs
  • Filing legal documents
  • Responding to inquiries from attorneys, judges, and the public

The ideal candidate will also draft court orders, provide in-court assistance, and undertake related tasks as required.



Qualifications:

A high school diploma or equivalent is required; a college degree is preferred.

Competitive candidates will have prior experience in court, business, or office settings, demonstrating proficiency in clerical or administrative roles, including data entry and familiarity with various software applications.

The candidate must exhibit the ability to interact professionally with a diverse clientele, including attorneys, law enforcement, and the general public.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks are essential.
